On top of a mountain, on an island, man has created a garden,
a secret garden, set like an isle in the middle of a sea of verdure,
counterpointing the best in man and Nature.
On the one hand, there is Nature's sublime creativity,
On the other, there is man’s amazing ingenuity
when he applies his art and science, not to improve on Nature,
but to express his love for her. |
The result is Les Chalets en Champagne, not so much a complex of mountain cottages as a labour of love, so designed as to enhance the splendour of the surrounding tropical rainforest that plunges precipitously down the slopes of the Black River mountain range to the sea sparkling sapphire and diamond all the way to the horizon. |
